Welcome to the Academic Pain Directors of Canada (APDOC)
APDOC is a self-governing association of Canadian Academic Pain Clinic and Regional Pain Program Directors.
APDOC receives no funding from industry sources.
Our objectives are to:
Promote exemplary patient care
Advise responsible bodies on matters concerning the standards of chronic pain management services
Develop and promote undergraduate, post-graduate and continuing professional education in chronic non-cancer and cancer pain management
Promote the development of research and scientific progress in the understanding and management of chronic pain
Assist the Canadian healthcare community in defining the training and role description of allied health care professionals across the service spectrum in acute, chronic non-cancer and cancer pain management.
Represent the interests of university-affiliated tertiary pain centres and clinics.
